Ridge and Furrow
The ridge and furrow greenhouse has developed from the flat greenhouse. It consists of a gable roof that is higher at the ridge, thus improving thermal inertia and favouring the capture of the sun’s rays.
Specifications:
Width of bays: 4 – 9
Distance between outer posts: 1.4 – 2
Distance between inner posts: 2 x 4 – 8
Height of sides: 2 – 3.5
Height under gutter (furrow): 3.5 – 4
Ridge height: 4 – 4.5
Slope of roof: 10 – 20º
The result is a higher night-time temperature in relation to other structures in the same range, a reduction in excess humidity inside the greenhouse during rainy periods and the possibility of installing roof vents.
Please contact the Technical Sales Department at Frada Invernaderos for professional advice that will help you choose the most suitable structure for your crop.
